Our Story
Iva Chatman began her career as a nursing technician, but after 22 years, she made the decision to pursue a new profession. She subsequently attended cosmetology school, obtaining her cosmetology and teacher's licenses, which ultimately led her to establish Miracle Miracles Beauty and Barber in 2010. In 2018, she further expanded her credentials by acquiring a license to teach barbering. By leveraging her diverse experience, Iva Chatman has successfully founded Miracle Miracles Barber School, located at 3726 West Main in Belleville, Illinois. What distinguishes Miracle Miracles Barber School from other institutions is its comprehensive curriculum, which encompasses both barbering and cosmetology. This unique approach enables students to develop a versatile skill set, allowing them to cater to a diverse clientele with various hairstyle and care.
Our Commitment to Education and Community
Miracle Miracles Barber School excels in providing comprehensive education in the art of barbering. We offer a 1500-hour course, where, upon completion, students graduate with a diploma and preparation for state board licensing. Our curriculum encompasses a range of skills, including cuts, styling, and shaving techniques. Our community outreach initiatives involve partnering with local organizations, such as the Jackie Joyner Center, Juvenile Center, Nursing homes, Behavioral Centers, and Homeless Shelters, to provide complimentary haircuts. We also collaborate with Public Schools, The Peoples Clinic, and All Nanna's Kids Closet Coat Giveaway to offer free haircuts to children and adults. This ensures that our students acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on experience.
